Born : 1968, Tutpara, Khulna

 

Fathar’s Name : Mohammad Abdur Rashid

 

Education : M.M ( Kamil Hadith ), Master of Arts ( Islamic Studies )

 

Co-curricular Activities : Khulna Shishu Academy, Art Class on Friday 1982-1990, Art & Painting workshop 6th months, 16th Art History and Art Appreciation Course 2003, Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka, Calligraphy learnt from Ustad Shahidullah F. Bari ( Thuluth, Naskh, Muhakkak, Raihani, Dewani and Kufi) and Ustadah Mahbube Pur Rahimi Mashadi Irani ( Nasta’lik ). One day Calligraphy Workshop of Ustad Ali Farasati in 2005 in National Museum in Dhaka. Iran- Bangladesh Calligraphy Workshop 2004 in Iranian Cultural Centre in Dhaka.

 

Group Exhibition : Group Exhibition Academy Students, Khulna 1986; Calligraphy Exhibition, Chittagong 2001; International Conference on Calligraphy of the Islamic World, Tehran, Iran 2002; Calligraphy Exhibition organized by Shahitto Sanaskriti Kendra and Calligraphy Society Bangladesh in Dhaka 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006; National Art Exhibition 2005 organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy; 7th International Arabic Calligraphy Competition in the name of Hashim Mohammad Al Baghdadi 2007 organized by IRICA Istanbul, Turkey.

 

Collection : Saudi Arabia, India, Arab Emirates and Bangladesh.

 

Notable deeds : Author of Islamic Art Book ” Islami Calligraphy” ( 2002 published in Bangla); “Islamic Calligraphy Nashkhilipi” (2005 published in Bangla); “Islamic Calligraphy Naskhilipi, Sulus, Dewanilipi” (2004 published in Bangla) and published more than hundreds Articles of Calligraphy subjects in national daily news papers and magazines. A major Calligraphy works on Marble, Tiles, Wood, Brass and Calligraphy mural in Mosques and religious architectures of Dhaka, Chittagong, Hobigonj, Munshigonj.
